    Internal body specs

My search of the forums turned up nothing, and my google-fu seems weak as well, so maybe y'all can help me. I've some machinist friends who can cnc up a custom body for me since I've some particulars I want in it that I cannot find. However I would prefer to find an existing CAMs sheet or some other technical data for the internal measurements. Does anyone have the internal measurements or technical data that I can use for this project?

    Check this thread. http://www.automags.org/forums/showt...3&page=4&pp=30
I think most of it's old, but the last pages might have something of use. i don't have any CAD programs, or I'd take a look at them myself to see if anything works.

Edit: I forgot I had AutoCAD on my other computer. Just downloaded the DWG from the very last post in the thread, looks to be everything you will need. By the way, the thread is a sticky in the "tech" section.

Good luck. Something I have been trying to get around to doing for... 4 years now. infact I kind of forgot about it. okay... so I went and opened the print. and realized my understanding of things has vastly increased in the past two years doing print updates at work. The ID turn with a single point in the back half is pushing the limits of most machine shops capabilities but within reason... and a little scary to set up it looks like. I have a bar that might be able to get in there, but I would really be worried about tool holder clearance. if nothing else I could profile grind some HSS. As far as I can tell... the only reason for the first groove right up on the face is merely a clearance cut to keep the square edge of a washer sitting flush on the face, instead of on a tool nose radius at the bottom of the bore... so thats within reason. the other one is just cut for the spring clip. its at 3.110" hmmm.... this might not be as bad as I thought it was at one time. Anyone out there have those metal washers that sit down there taken out (before I go hit my mag with a dental pick)? Looks like there should be 3 of them (only 2 seen in print). This just came within reason. I have wanted an ego feedneck'ed mag for a while now.

Hey ya know what... are the spring clips and washer things available anywhere? I could use some $. anyone want some sluggos? convince me to do it AO

Just use a body and rail to get measurments off of thats all I did. Your going to want to check them against anyhting you get off the internet anyway. I wouldn't trust any print I get off the internet.
