So I'm sure everyone has seen the ads for Verizons new "Droid", a better-than-smart Motorola phone that operates on Google's Android platform... It's actually a great piece, I just got mine and I've enjoyed it immensly. Heck I've even posted on here with it.
One thing I noticed on the packaging was a small footer that stated that the word "Droid" is property of Lucasfilm Ltd, and is used with their licensing. Upon further inspection of the commercials, I noticed that there were more notes clarifying that Lucasfilm owns the rights to the word "Droid" and had licensed it out to Motorola/Verizon/Google.
My questions is this; has MacDev been in touch with Lucasfilm? Are they big enough for Lucasfilm to take notice? What happens if they do?
