AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
I was wondering what the other side looked like, the side with the air inlet for the valve. Also doses that set up still allow for the valve to be taken out easely?
Bottom and back of the Ion body is cut out. There is a hole drilled through the ion body for the air inlet to the valve. You have to unscrew the elbow to get the valve out. I've got photos of the passenger side somewhere. If I can track them down I'll post.
To be honest I did it as a joke and it got good to me after a while. I have no plans to sell or change this. I actually kinda like the look now.
This is like putting a Pinto body over a Ferrari.. why????
It's more like putting a Civic body on a 1960s Buick Riviera.
Everybody with a moderately tricked out Civic thinks it's the hottest stuff around, and you've got an old piece of classic luxury and muscle that maybe gets judged a little too much on its looks and weight...
People look and say "Oh. An automag. That's old and heavy and made of stainless steel, ewwwwww." and their opinion is tainted. Now when they see an ION performing as only an Automag can, and realize it's not in fact an ION at all... Well, need I say more?
What a sick perversion of everything we love! how could anyone have the stomach to asemble such a monstrocity?? or have the dignity to call it their own. you should hide your face in shame!!!!
The first person who saw the photo and realized what it was said that they were surprised the ion body didn't burst into flame like the nazi symbol on the crate that they put the ark of the covenant in.
