    Powdercoat vs Anodize

I had my mag powder (cerakote) coated and I was curious what your thoughts are on the pros and cons of each.

The pros for me of the powdercoat were:

    Consistent color, regardless of material
No damage to barrel interiors, no need to remove washer/ring etc

    The cons were:

While the finish was pretty durable, it does seem to scuff fairly easily (I did a matte finish)
The feel of the finish is slightly rough. It has held up well though, no flaking or anything.

I'm contemplating having my mag redone once I get my vert frame and noxious body (whenever that may be...) and I'm trying to decide if I want to do a fade with cerakote again or have it anodized. For reference, I'm using J&J edge ceramic barrels and J&J stated that anodizing will damage the interior of the barrel so I guess I would have to pick up a different barrel if I went ano.

    What are your thoughts?

Rail wasn't done, I was waiting to get my Noxious rail back from Mongoose so I had a regular AM/MM rail on there.

      This was Cerakote, Armor Black.

What has happened over time is there is just some light scuffing, it's not terribly visible but it's there. Mostly from me dragging it through bushes etc.
