AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Smart Parts will be closed at the end of the month !!
PnL Paintball is open year round, though Mike did mention something about taking a week or two off in the spring this year to fix some stuff up, at least it sounded like that might be part of his plan.
If they diddn't treat me like I was trying to pack up the ghost town in my gearbag every time I came out there I'd be more likely to visit. Between that and the punk kid at the airstation tellin me I can't top off my tank at the end of the day because I'm done playing and the air costs the field money it makes me not want to drive the hour and a half out of my way.
Course, they do have the ghost town- It keeps me coming back like a fat kid to Mcdonalds

I second those sentiments... I love the field, I'm not so hot on the refs/employees.
Thank you AO for the best Christmas present ever!!!!
This news is awesome, and I didnt even know about that thread on pbn from 2007!. I couldnt have so many hours of content from anything else than reading these two threads
Smart Parts Inc., undergoes temporary closure for restructuring during the month of January 2009.
Loyalhanna, PA January 6, 2009 Paintball manufacturer Smart Parts, Inc. is temporarily shutting down all manufacturing and sales operations in order to facilitate a corporate restructuring. During this time, the company will not be able accept or process orders, ship or receive products or perform repairs. The restructuring process is expected to be completed by the end of January 2010.
It is important that people do not send equipment in for service during this time, said company Vice President, Adam Gardner. Our buildings will not be staffed during the restructuring, so there will be no one there to receive packages. They will automatically be refused and returned to the sender.
To the players, field owners and store owners, please know that we appreciate your support and are looking forward to a fresh start for the 2010 paintball season. We apologize for any inconvenience this short closure may cause, and hope to make it up to you in the future.
I think you'll find smartparts is done, they may keep around as a shell of a company but I think you'll find them rolling into GiMilsim and Luxe in an attempt to run from their tainted name. I think the days of Ions and Shockers are over- both have had their market crashed in on by other, better guns (the DP G3 for example).
I think that there is an arrogant hope that paintball players are trendy and have short memories and that by laying low and diffusing that they will start reaping in more market share.
