    Superbolt worth anything?

Is the superbolt worth anything or will it fall apart out of the box. Is it worth even playing woodsball with or do I need to buy lots of aftermarket parts for it? Thanks.

If it is brand new, don't expect it to work out of the box. At a minimum, expect to clean the lpr for metal shavings, replace all orings and seals, and add a bumper to the ram. Valve is probably loose or poorly sealed. Springs seemed to be made for high pressure. I've never seen one working as an autococker with its original pneumatics; most were converted to pumps (like mine). The trigger frame may be usable by people with little fingers, but it is not fully finished like the dye frame.

The lpr is a stinky schrader valve design, so it can hang open at any time.

If you are getting it to either totally rebuild and customize, or to turn into a pump, I would say they were worth it if you can pick it up new for ~$70.

If you want something of better quality, and will work better right off, if a bit heavier and not as good looking....get an 04 or earlier WGP prostock.

I was just thinking of buying one new but after hearing from some of you I may hold off.

Also most of the grip frames are not installed properly. I have one that I am converting to pump.

Great to modify. Terrible in stock configuration. If you were to just pick one up and go I would seriously caution against it.

It will give you nothing but constant trouble.

                  One way or the other.

I had a shocktech cocker and a superbolt come in to my hands at the same time, and I kept the superbolt. It is a great little gun, super consistent, shoots fast, and I was shooting paint that was very brittle from sitting in my freezing trunk for a couple weeks (some would break from falling out of the hopper on to the table below) and I didn't get a single break. It all depends on the one you get.

My best friend picked one up with the pump kit already on (War Machine Relic yes same marker) had to pull the whole thing apart it looked like the left it under the mill then threw it together . But we cleaned it up and replaced the o rings shoots like a champ now. But took some work out of the box.

eBay values seem pretty telling as to its value:

Seriously though, the stock pneumatics are worthless, 90% of the bodies had the holes drilled so poorly that they didn't line up, didn't seal with stock O-rings, or were at such significant angles to one another that if you looked through them you'd see two different parts of what's on the other side. The aluminum used was two grades better than "chilled butter" and three grades worse than "quality balsa wood".

There are some around (most were bought up by wholesalers and converted to snipers) that had better tolerances better finishing, but those were the cream of the ****ty crop and the pricin on Ebay/forums reflects that by being about $35-$60 more than the usual lnib Superbolts you'll find.
