You may want to look for a used tank. You can find 68/4500 tanks used for under $100. I have to second the Level X bolt upgrade as well, especially with a revvy.

Rudz: I was under the impression tanks could only be hydro tested 3 times, is that correct? That's still a 20 year life span on a 5 year tank.

Correct, compare a 12 year lifespan to 20

You will have the 5 year cf tank almost twive as long as the aluminum 3000
I have an cf 3 year tank and I swear it feels like I'm always having to get it rehydrod, which reminds me, its due again, so if you do spring for a carbon fiber tank be sure to get a 5 year tank......don't just get a cheap 3 year hydro worrgas tank cuz they had cool looking anime chiks on them....

The DOT paperwork on both of my CF tanks says "Cylinders manufactured under this exemption are not authorized for use fifteen (15) years after the date of manufacture.". One is Carleton tank which has a three year hydro, and the other is a Gayston tank with a five year. Is that the standard service life of a CF tank?

All of my 3-year tanks say 15 years max. My 5 year says nothing, but is allegedly good for up to 3 hydros according to paperwork.

Fiber wrapped: 3 to 5 year testing, have a 15 year life span.

Aluminum: Need to be tested every 5 years and have a unlimited life.

Steel: Are tested at least every 3 years with a 24yr life span

My grandfather still has aluminum scuba tanks from the 60 or 70's

He was a diver for the Navy.

For a bag, go to a local militry surplus store.

The one I work at sells what we call IDF Tactical bags. Basically, it is a canvas duffle bag with a crap ton of accessory pockets, and instead of a shoulder strap it has backpack straps.

It's big enough on the inside to fit a marker, hoppers, airtanks, spare cloths, boots, pod packs, pods, and a case of paint and the outside/inside pockets are perfect for tools, batteries, squeegees, and other small parts. The bottom is also a rubberized, waterproof material.

It combined with my luggage duffle fit my entire setup of 4 guns, matching parts kits, 2 packs, a vest, 2 masks, tons of pods, several hoppers, many pairs of gloves, many bandanas, tons of tools, 2 air-tanks, several CO2 tanks, spare regs, air accessories, etc. I only need to use a smallish duffle or a backpack to fit the rest of my stuff (spare cloths, some doo-dads) and right there is about 100lbs worth of paintball equipment.

Best part is, the bag is only about $30. Compare that to $40 for an Empire backpack and you can't go wrong.

I plan on buying a Level 10 bolt for the Mag in March and having AGD tune it for me if they're willing.

I'd change the V-Force Profiler for JT's Flex 8 or Proflex. Much more comfortable for about the same price. I had a green Profiler mask but I had to sell it and go back to my old, good JTs. The Profiler sits just too high on the forehead and the sweat kept coming into my eyes during play, which was horrible. But that's me. I sweat a lot in the head LOL

Yep, for CF you just sacrifice money! You see that a lot.

                            Fixed.

If your gonna shoot a mag i strongly advise getting a CF tank, my choice is a 68.

i would worry more about the reg you put on it then the tank itself....just keep it dated

Still open to recommendations. I want the website as close to Indiana as possible so I don't have to wait forever.

Doesn't look like I'm going to get out of this cheap

AGD Minimag (Tunaman is selling me one)
Ninja 68/4500 CF tank (If Allowed)
                                Empire E-Vents Goggles
                                NXE Backpack
                                VL Force Loader
                                Kingman Java Squeegee
                                Thumb Screw Elbow

I'll have to settle for a rental tank if the apartment manager doesn't allow me to have the Ninja on the property.
