What To Expect At My First Game

Now that I have equipment coming tuesday I'll be ready to play soon. Like any new paintballer I expect to get shot up but that's just a given. I don't expect to get anyone out for the first few games. Is there anything else that I should expect besides the obvious

Bring a lot of rags since it might get messy, not saying you will get lit up but the floors at most fields are messy from all the paint so you will get dirty. Stay low, dont do nothing crazy and have fun is the most important part. Only time and prax will make you better.

        Bring what ever you have

Just stay in the back for the first 2 games or so to get the feel of the field and game...And remember, don't get hit.

You shouldn't have to expect to get " shot up " 1 hit & your out , maybe a couple extra thats all , I remember earlier you said you live in a apt & no air bottles , well, what they don't know won't hurt them , assemble your kit learn how to shoulder it & what feels comfortable to you , hold the elbows against your body , practice looking out from behind a door , exposing minimal body parts , are there any woodlots at all near you , get a bag of paint & a bottle of air go in the woods & shoot that marker , learn how it feels & where it shoots , it would be good to go to a local shop & see if you can get it chronoed ( when they laugh when you walk in with a Mag ( barrel bag please ) , don't pay any attention to them thier lost )
When you go in set out the first couple of games & see how the field plays , if you see anyone with a Mag OR a Pump , introduce yourself , make friends , have fun , thats what it is all about

I told the apartment manager that the guy I bought the Minimag package off was sending tanks. She didn't seem to care since I had no control over it I do have a wooden lot behind me but it doesn't belong to the complex The whole point of me going is to meet people and make friends since I don't have any

I agree with the previous poster. For the first couple of game, stay back and watch the games and watch how the other players are moving. Also, don't be too afraid to make a run to a bunker in fear of getting shot. Most players are not that accurate and will probably not hit you. So just go for it.

I might stay back the first couple of games. After that I'm charging in to sling paint

When you do pop out of a bunker. Try to mix it up, come out the left side, up top, left again then right...Make the person trying to shoot you in the face guess where your coming from. If you come out over and over on one side, anyone with half a brain will see that and shoot you out.

Stop at the auto section of a Walmart or Target and grab some microfiber towels. They are great to wipe off your goggles and equipment. If you don't end up using them in paintball, you can use them for your car.

                            Tips:

                            1. Stick close to your bunker
                            2. If you got a gravity fed hopper it don't work well on an angle
                            3. Bump the next bunker, reload, then fire- Good players will expect you to start firing immediatly off the bump like everyone else does.
                            4. Keep your head behind your hopper- keeps your goggles clean.
                            6. Get yourself some thermal (2 paned) goggles if you don't already have them- they'll never fog and you'll be greatful for it. If you like the sport get the most comfy mask you can. I reccomend E-vents, though the axis' has a good following too.
                            7. Barrel bag, barrel bag, barrel bag.

$5 says they'll be coming off before the day is through. you build up body heat pretty quick. one day we had a kid with a giant jump suit on. after almost passing out from heat exhaustion, we finally convinced him to play in the clothes he was wearing underneath.
