    Winter project Mag

I posted this over at MCB, but I'm sure your not all there so i figured I would share with you all here.
    Enjoy!
I have a thread going over in the AGD armory section with some pics about my most recent project.

I picked up a Mag in trade for a NXT shocker. While satisfied with the way it shoots, the cosmetics needed a little help, and We had some performance enhancements we wanted to do to the warp feeder it came with.

    Before:

Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera handy when the warp feeder enhancements were being done.
Basically, the warp was disassembled, and a custom breadboard was installed which had dual 9v contact points and the 12v mod installed on it, thus making a cleaner 12v mod, no messy wires, just drop in 2 9v batteries and go.
Next up was making a intelliframe cord, setting up the switch and testing it in synch with the warp. Once that was done, and the gun was again function checked we got into the meat of the cosmetic work.

We fired up the blasting cabinent and went to removing every inch of anno from all the parts of the gun:

once they were stripped, all the pieces needed to be cleaned down with acetone to remove any oils from our hands.
2 mags worth of parts cleaned with acetone:

Next off to the spray booth to get an electric charge and powder coating applied:

then off to the oven to bake:

after all the parts had been colored, baked, and cooled, it was time to test fit and then assemble the colored parts to make sure everything fit:

Next time we will be reassembling the intelliframe switch, the warp setup, and finishing the project.
Enjoy, and ask questions if you have any.

Looks good. I just hope you don't have any tolerance issues, since you didn't tape off the part of the rail where the body touches.

It's an end game stub nose barrel.
                      Yep I'm a lefty.

I'm not expecting any issues with the bottom part. Part of doing this properly is not caking on the powder, the other part is adjusting the on/off pin length if necessary.

When it's completed I'll post up some video of it shooting. i should be back in the shop to finish this up sometime over the next month.

                        .
Actually, I'd think you'd run into more issues with the sear catching the bolt than the on/off pin length, but I've been wrong before.

Can we get a good shot of the modded paintball gas mask?

yeah sure, next time I'm in the shop. funny story, that mask was actually made for castle conquest. The tactic for awhile was to bomb the castle with marine smoke to smoke the defenders out. It was made by my boy who is doing the powder coating work to stay in the walls. Blue eventually banned the smoke because of the tactic.

                            Finished, no issues.
                            Video of it shooting here:

got speeds between 13 and 26 bps over the big red. chrono was around 286fps. chopped some paint, lvl 10 needs tuning/break in , but yeah it was smoking. we tuned it in, weather was crap and we were using a stock tac-1 barrel. we will get more video soon.

very nice love the storm trooper look.

What cronos will give you bps? I don't think the one at my field will and they take the gun and crono for you not often they leave it sitting out so I can play with it. So id like to buy one to test fps and bps.

                              Edit: Nvm I found some...
