I noticed something in the F/S thread...

It would appear to me that there is a demand for 15 degree asa's. Everytime someone posts a bunch of parts in the buy/sell forum, the 15 degree asa is the first to go. It would also appear that no one has any problem selling one for $35-$45. So, that being said, how come no one is making/selling these (or is someone making these, and I don't know about it?) Tunaman used to sell them, but has them listed as 'out of stock'.

I think that's where the ones Tuna was selling came from.

What always amazes me about 15* ASA's is how stupid expensive they are. No offense to Rogue or anyone else who's trying to sell one, but it flabbergasts me that a little tiny piece of metal can sell for $40. I can get a decent barrel for that much.

And there's really nothing special about them either. There's no valve or on/off like bottomline ASA's. They're just a round pieces of alumunim with a few threaded holes in them.

I guess it's just an example of supply, demand, and prices. I love economics.

Dude...I totally agree with you! Part of my reason for starting this thread was to complain about how expensive they are. But I realize (like you) that it is an example of supply/demand. People will pay that much for them, so people are going to sell them for that much. So, I didn't complain, b/c I thought it wouldn't matter...

Madmarx - if you still have that asa in a couple of weeks, I will buy it from you (just waiting on my income tax return check to get here)

                  Horizontal ASAa

The horizontal ASAs are pretty much sold as soon as they are listed. The missing link in the pistol mag/sydarm build.
