    My Automag

Alrighty, I'm new to this site, and mags in general, so hello all! And sorry if this isn't the right place for this. I'll let the mods move it or close it if need be.

Anyways. I have a recently acquired mag, and I have no idea what it is, so I figured I'd post it up here. I've already caught "the bug" as my friend calls it. So here's some questions, and pictures of the mag.

    1. What is it? I know its a classic (well I'm pretty sure it is) but what does the anno mean? Is it worth something?
    2. Whats the deal with benchmark frames? Are they desirable to some?
    3. What is the ANS Phase II Air Valve on the back of this marker?

Sorry if these are kind of newbish, but I'm learning. I've held and shot amazing mags before, and I love how reliable and simple it is. But I just don't anything about them. So any help would be greatly appreciated!!! And yes it's a twist lock barrel, I have the stock one and a J&J.
And if you guys want more pictures to better get an idea, just let me know.

    Thanks again for any help!

    1. It's a pretty basic classic mag with a splash sight rail & barrel from SP probably. SP & Eclipse originally had multi-part splash kits for mags/minimags back in the 90's. A full kit would be more desirable to a buyer, the two parts by themselves are not particularly rare. However, you might find someone whose looking for individual parts in a particular splash ano pattern, so you might be able to part those.

    2. Benhmark frames are well made, basic .45 grip frames for mags. Generally considered superior to DYE & 32 Degrees .45 frames I believe. The trigger pull makes them either a 'love it or hate it' type item. It could be considered desirable if another buyer was a Benchy fan, or just liked single trigger frames, but again its nothing rare. Sells for more than the stock CF frame for sure though. I like them.

    3. The ANS valves were supposed to be 'upgrades' of debatable effectiveness. Nowadays, I think it's generally considered better to have a complete, matching classic valve rather than one with any ANS additions if your going to sell it to someone looking for a classic valved mag.

Nice, clean mag overall. Plenty of upgrade possibilities just like all mags.

It looks like you have nice example of a classic mag with a few after market parts the splash kit isn't worth much more than none splashed parts unless you have the entire kit and/or someone has incomplete kit and needs your parts to complete the set. The ANS phase 2 regulator back isn't particularly valuable ( they sold for about 35 bucks new as I recall). Some people really liked the benchmark frames but alot didn't they go for pretty cheap now a days.

All in all though it looks like a nice marker from what I can see in the pics.

Edit guess I type too slow

Thats a Classic Mag...hopper left powerfeed, with an Eclipse sightrail and Benchmark triggerframe a Benchmark Vertical adapter. Unknown foregrip. Looks like a Smarts Parts All American barrel. Great gun. Will last you a lifetime. If you have any questions about it fell free to ask.

Thanks for all of the fast replies!! I haven't had the chance to shoot paint through it yet, but if I have any questions, I'll ask. And the foregrip is just a gutted Trilogy reg, thats all.

You could always make a very nice pump out of it! Either way, welcome to the AO family!
