Proto Primo-Loader?

Huh. I was under the impression those didn't work too well (had one I used with my minimag, no better than a standard loader. Interesting that the design is coming back.

I dont have the new Primo loader, but I did buy a couple of the redesigned tecamo archon loaders and compared to say, a vl200, they are super great. But they dont stand up to a powered hopper. I'm not a spray and pray player, I dont play speedball, and I can shoot a whole hopper and not have any skips with no shaking. Have one on my minimag, my carbine and the wifes shocker nxt and for our playstyle, they are perfect. Especially when I only had to spend $8 each instead of $100.

I used an Archon loader with my standard feed Classic, and was very impressed with how it performed. I think the key is to have a standard feed, as opposed to a powerfeed. The standard feed would bobble the whole ball stack against the shelf in the hopper (as opposed to against the powerfeed only), which helped the feeding. Only if I let a string of like 30 balls fly without moving, would I need to sometimes shake it. I liked having no batteries and still being able to shoot my classic as fast as I wanted. Based on what I've seen on the Primo, I would think it would work just as well or better. I am picking up one the next time I order something.

I think its more like 8-10 bps.. But I see a lot of pumpers at my local field starting using them, they seem to like them.. Me personally, still love using the 50 round winchester "shake and bake"..

Sport Shot FTW

I still like my Sport Shot because its smaller.
Once I took the .55 caliber notch out of the inside (very easy with a sanding bit and a drill)
of it I was very surprised and pleased at how fast it feeds.
I can get some nice strings out of it.
KEE has them in their 2010 catalog.
Page 10, they are calling it the Extreme Rage multi caliber hopper, .68 and .50 caliber.
Also same page has the same hopper but 200 round with sound activated vortex feed system.

The ExtremeRage "Multi-Caliber" is not in production. Most of the sales people at KEE have never heard of it, and the facilities in China aren't even set up to start making it yet. It was accidentally added to the catalog this year in much the same way that the SL91 was in the Eclipse catalog last year; there are 5 prototypes around but that's about it! There's almost no demand yet, so it might be months before they start making it. They're waiting to see if .50 takes off, I'm guessing, but my friend who works at KEE wouldn't give me a straight answer either way on that.

I've heard that too. I used a sanded sportshot, but my buddy has an APP that's damn good looking on a phantom and feeds very nicely.

I might pick one of these up just to have as a backup or loaner.
