I'm also working on a Pneumatic Magazine.
don't know if it will work or not.
but to quote MAX WEBSTER'S "Universal Juveniles"
    "you never know
    if you never dare
    Juveniles!
    Don't Stop!"

and I've managed to get blueprints for the real steel Sterling and the E-11 Blast-Tech Stormtrooper Blaster from Star Wars.
(because George Lucas made the Stormtrooper Blasters out of old WWII Sterlings)
now I'm just tinkering with the design a little to make sure everything will fit the way I want it to.
Now "Tinkering" means thought exorcise and drawings, haven't built one as yet.
not sure if i should build them out of Delrin or Aluminum/Brass...

delrin to make them lighter, and lower cost.
Aluminum is stronger and Brass is stronger still...
could even build them out of Stainless Steel.
but people will really cry about the weight then.

Which if any would you be interested in?
the AP9 and the Tec9 were added for those that like vertical Magazines.

    I'm personally leaning toward the Sterling;
because it can be put into a wood stock to be the Lanchester
or have the Magazine rotated or the body shortened
to be either of the other 3 machine pistols.
After all the AP9 and the Tec9 are really close
matches to the bone stock AGD MiniMag. (very little needed there)

      Ok,
getting things ready for building the Sterling/Stormtrooper Blaster Pneu-Mag!

it's really the core of most of the others; so it will be very easily adapted/built into most of the variants.

funny thing, the swing under folding stock is much better than any of the existing "Fold against the side so my gun is way too bulky" folding stocks currently being offered.

anyone out there think that just the Sterling style Folding Stock might be something you would like to add to your own rig?

Only problem with folding under stocks is figuring out how it will mess with your airline. Pretty much negates a grip mounted asa, which is the most popular location.

Would be easy on remote though.. just attach directly to the valve!

            Good point,
although no single option is good for everyone in all situations.

This sounds like it can be a sweet piece. I would be interested, and the sterling design with that folding stock would be cool. I'll just have to keep checking back.

Should have a plastic (PVC or Delrin) version/mock up built by next week. (after Easter weekend) as a proof of concept/test bed.

PVC or Delrin will definitely keep the cost down.
would any of you loose interest if it was Delrin?

it would be much lighter too...

delrin would save alot of weight, preferred imo

So LK, I have some design questions.

Would this design be a single large tube design, like the Sterling, with a sort of self contained body/rail unit made to bolt directly to mag trigger frames? Will it basically do away with the need for a rail unit?

Did you ever think of adapting the basic open bolt blowback design and feed system of the Tippmann SMG-60, except updated and modified to resemble the Sterling and take First Strikes? A design built around the bone simple bolt and valve design of say the 98 or A5(basically the same) would be very rugged and reliable. I believe the Sterling itself was a simple open bolt blowback sub-machinegun as well.

It would be super rad if it ws aluminum, but lightweight it what sells and it would be cheaper. Definately go with that.

Delrin would be ok, aluminum would be a prefered and like asked above would it be a body or more than that?

Prefer aluminum. The easier the conversion if i already habe a warp body the better.

I'm looking at several design options.
                              1) plastic body kit with a full AutoMag core
                              2) AutoMag unibody (rail & body combined)
                              3)AutoMag Body needing rail

                                My $.02,
If your going to make a unique body/rail, then defiently move the grip
frame back and go with a under feed quick swapable magazine.
But you would need to make a frame for easy pnuemag instalation (non cheater cause that fizzled) as well.
Or the sear arm could be used as the trigger, though I have read mixed things about that but have always wanted to test it myself.
All in all I would buy one only if it was underfeed and fed both regular balls and fs rounds.
