AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Not sure exactly what you have, but 99% sure there is no such thing as 'pre level 5' and based on your serial number, it wouldn't qualify as a level 5 either. Possibly level 6.
Paintball Talk is the main forum for Automags.org. Here is where we talk about the sport of paintball in general and make announcements relating to the forum and website.
Appears I may have an amalgum of several levels here - I dont have claipers to measure most parts
Appears level 5 was the first released to the public, and I know this isnt a lvl 7... so I would venture t o guess this is a AGD level 5 valve with some upgrades on it to keep it working
I believe the first lvl 6 guns shared the same valve as the lvl 5 guns. The difference between lvl 5 and lvl 6 was the barrel/body design changed. Don't hold be to that since I have not seen a lvl 5 gun in several years and I don't remember all the differences.
I would have said it was a level 5 but the high serial number indicates that it is probably a level 6. I know there was a conversion program to upgrade all the level 6 guns to level 7s, in the very early nineties, to get rid of the problem of powertubes being a problem (I suspect due to moving around or due to oring leaks).
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
