Hydro Date question

I have a high pressure aluminum alloy cylinder stamped 12/96. Was it supposed to be rehydroed back in 99 or december of 2001? Thanks for everyones help. Oh didn't know wheter to post this in the main or tech forum. If it is in the wrong one my bad. It'll give the mods something to do anyway

doesnt matter what you put in it. If its steel or aluminum, its on the 5 year plan

ONLY composite tanks are 3 year (and now not all of them are, but thats another story)

Hold on there! Not so fast...

It's most likely a five year if its not fiber wrapped. You will have to check the DOT exemption codes. But most (if not all) non-wrapped were five.
