I've posted these up before, but one with my old E-Mag and a more recent one with my ninja X.

I just wanna say that Skeeter, and his field are the reason I'm on this forum today! I started playin paintball when I was stationed in charleston SC back in 2004, bought my first marker from him (tippmann 98), bought my second marker from my buddy (tippmann A-5, which I still have) and bought my third marker (Automag RT Pro, with Y-grip, and ULT) from skeeter which I also still have (although it's been cannibalized with my other mags since then). I fell in love with Mags after he sold me my RT Pro. Also, I loved his field! Only field I've ever played where you could bring your OWN paint, and still not pay ridiculously high field fees. Also, it was nice to have a certified AGD tech around.

Skeeter I love your field! I swear I'll never play a field as fun as your village field. I can't tell you how much I enjoy putting a hundred people on a field slightly larger than a typical speedball field. it's such a rush!

although the rule regarding shots below the elbows/knees is a bit odd...I still love your field! I wish we had a field like yours in eastern Iowa

I don't know why I felt like sharing all that. I get a bit emotional at 4:00 in the morning when work is slow..
We must be famous??? Mike? Dat you? Are you a civilian again?

      Thanks for the props! Sincerely.

We are still a $10 a day, BYOP field (and always will be). We still have the knees/elbows rule for rec play. What we found, way back in the old days, is that the knees/elbows rule keeps players in the game a bit longer, and makes the shooters "earn" the elims a bit more. It also keeps the "cheap shots" (under the walls???) down. No reason to shoot someones foot from a few inches away, if the shots don't count...

I need to make a trip down to PBC and check out the place for myself (shooting a Mag, of course).

I might also break out the Nelspot if the occasion calls for it.
Come on down... We have a nice / diverse crowd. We spend a lot of time educating our players, and that seems to help on several levels. We also have a "lifetime ban" for anyone caught wiping, so the sportsmanship here is WELL above average.

I have players with everything from slingshots to DYE NTs at the field. One youngster has a Sydarm as a primary marker, and we still see Nelsplats & PGPs from time to time. It's not about the hardware, but quality helps!

Is this a normal weekend ? , how many " normally " show up on any given sat/sun ??
Did you ever find the scumbags that broke into your shop , I think they got the last NOS E Tac

GREAT memory!!! We didn't catch the scumbags (this term is TOO good for them) that hit the shop last May (24th). We have recovered a handful of markers that were swiped. It's amazing how efficiently pawn shops can loose their purchase records... Yep. They got the E-Tac, which is NOT doing them any good. It is too noticable to play with, and my guys still visit the pawn shops & keep a lookout. It is probably in a dumpster somewhere! Loosing the E-Tac was the worst hit! Financially, it doesn't matter, since insurance covered the theft (minus the $1,000 deductible), but loosing something that can't be replaced SUCKS!!!!!

We have a pretty busy field. Our rec ball crowds can run from 70-80 on the low end, to about 250 on the high end. It all depends on the weather. When it starts getting hot (about now), then our crowds will start dropping. A big part of our player base is from private parties. We usually have 4-8 private parties on Saturdays, and another 2-3 on Sundays. These are not for our "regular" players, and usually church groups, bachelor parties, groups of friends, company outings, etc. Hopefully, some of the participants from private parties will become regulars, but they can be hard to "capture"...

Man... We are only 2-3 hours away... What part of the state? It's worth the drive, if not for paintball, then the beach and the food (and the College of Charleston girls)!

I am running a 24 hour game next month (May 1st & 2nd), if you want to get some play time... We encourage camping, so this will cut down on the travel expenses...

well, I'm not mike but as of Feb 14th of 2007 I am a civilian again

$10 a day BYOP...that sounds like a fairy tale! LOVE IT!

yah I didn't mind the elbow/knee rule...until I left charleston after 'ballin for a year and a half and started playing in san diego where they dont' have the rule. It took me a long time to get out of the habit of hiding behind my own shins and forearms

Some old pics of me, playing with the Alien Mag aat a local woods filed:

And some other ones, playing with the Dallara pneu Mag at the same place:

In the last two photos, I've circled the whole field and shot each of the 5 aoposing players. That day was awesome!

I was trying to get a whole bunch of new players to move up because they were 200 or so yards from the nearest enemy. The paintball I'm holding just completed it's 5ish bounce and ended up in my lap
Dude, you play at Fox4 regularly? Here's one of me playing at Fox4 with the G-Force frame:

ROFL @ my Brazilian friend. The bamboo barriers are awesome. There's noting like playing in a tropical rain forest. I'd be too busy looking at the scenery and get shot in the face.

LOL. I remember playing in a field in northern Cali in 2000 (can't recall the field's name) and at the end of one game there was some guy didn't stop shooting. Everybody was yelling game over and the guy kept shooting and shooting so we went closer to see what was happening. When we arrived there, we saw the guy shooting at the ground and when he finally got without balls, a ratle snake flew away all painted over. Now that's was scary!

I grew up at paintball charleston and times have changed. Back in the day it was cockers and mags, now its pmr's and etek's. I know my mags so I stick with them, and manage to hold my own better than most people. You guys should try to find your way down here and to play sometime. There are about a dozen different fields over 60 acres. Big time fun for everyone

This one is from Splatbrothers in Hopewell, VA. the mag is my Ken's Custom's POWDERCOATED (if you can believe it) G-Force framed MicroMag.

And here is an "action" shot with my wild west Pneumag and my wife.

Village and the Castle are my favorite. I grew up out there from 12-20 and most of the years actually now that I think about it. I only really used a mag for rec-ball.

Hey Warbeak, glad I found that picture of you? Haha.

I wish I had some pics of me playing with my pneumag on the speedball field but I only have shots of me playing woods with my old Karni.

                              (I'm new BTW )

skeeter runs a great field i have played regularly since 2000 at PBC. i love his fields they are always coming up with new ways to change up the old fields to make it more fun. they are also the safest field i have ever been to. I learned and grew up playing pump and shooting mags at PBC. for a while they had the last 2 xmags ever to still be brand new never shot hanging on the wall, but they are gone now. i currently have a series 6, pump mag and 3 other mags along with other raritys. PBC is a great field and hope to see you there with your mag.
