    Flatline, Purge Valve Installed

Well, I grew tired of not being able to purge my emag after turning of the flatline so I modded a brass elbow and installed a purge valve. I made a basic filter on the valve with a plastic pipe plug and faucet screen. Once I verify the output psi, I'll most likely remove the output gauge and plug the hole. On to the pics.

Sick! Now we need a detailed post on how you made it and where to get the parts.

Does it purge only the air line or the whole tank?

Just the air line. You would turn the main on/off valve off then open this valve to purge the air in the lines. Although I don't have air in my tank (or my mag for that matter) to test its operation.

The on/off valve is made by Palmers (bought mine from a feller member here)
The elbow come from a friend who snagged it from work.

I tapped the end of the elbow for the extra output. The output filter is just a plastic 1/8" npt to hose barb fitting with a piece of faucet screen and an oring underneath it.

Looks good. When I saw the thread's title, I thought you'd have used an inline purge on the air line itself.

I did the exact same thing to my 3 Geddons and 2 SP regs. Neither of them have bleeds on them. Haven't gotten round to do it on my flatline

            Same valve I used too.

I know it says 1k psi max but I've had it up to 1800 for a couple of days of play with no problems.

Thats pretty cool. I like it.

I've got a slide-check right before the female macroline fitting, which blows off the excess air. A bit more basic than your setup, but it does the trick.

You can also get those 1/8" NPT On/off airline valves from Fastenal, a lot cheaper too then from Palmer's

I use one of those old Cooper-T bleeder valves. I wish I could find more of them.

I read a lot about those but all the posts were from 5 years ago. I couldn't find any either.

Didn't Cooper pass away, and the store shut down?

Yeah Chauncey (sp?) passed away a few years ago. Such a good dude. I started buying from Cooper-T in the 90's. I'd call to place an order, next thing you know your on the phone BSing with him for 2 hrs.

Anyway, if you are looking for one of those bleed valves, try Bacci Paintball on MCB. He found one for me.

I found what looks identical to the valves available on Palmer's site, but they are only rated for 300 psi. I couldn't find any rated for 1000psi.
