Buna o-rings in a mag?

Happened upon this auction this morning. Has anyone every tried buna rings in a valve? The idea makes me nervous, but that could just be all the years of only using urethane rings. The only place I've every used buna is on tanks and I'd prefer to use urethane when I can because they seem to last longer. My local shops don't like to carry urethane tanks rings.
