So when am I allowed to start getting

    A little fed up?

Long story short. I sent my recently milled and uled Emag lowers along with some barrel backs to a well known vendor here back in mid February to get anoed with an initial quote of 4 wks or so. Missed getting to play with the marker for two big events including LL3, and nearing 5 months now. Received an email from the "vendor" on June 22nd saying he would have the lowers back in his possession at the end of the week, but he never replied to my question if they would be completed along with the lazering we discussed. Sent another email on Wednesday asking for another update and still no answer. I think I have been more than patient. When do I take it public?

I think 4-6 weeks is resonable for a anno job and lasering. I would say 5 months is way to long.

Always contact the vendor and try to sort it out with them FIRST. You have a few options if they flat out refuse to be reasonable.

If it's been under 60 days (ideally 30) since you've paid them money, you can contest the charge with your bank or credit card. This is pretty bad for the vendor, and will usually motivate them when good manners fail.

If that fails and the vendor has parts they won't return, have a lawyer send them a letter. That's an incredibly effective form of grease for rusty situations. You can also take them to small claims court (not difficult to do, you probably won't see that on Law & Order or whatever because there's no real drama). That's easier if you're local, of course. One of the few really good reasons to go with a local vendor.
