    Hopper elbows

I just posted the same topic over at SO, but I doubt I'll get any info from over there, and assumed this to be the better place to procure what I need...

When I first got my Minimag, I was given with it a bag of elbows. The elbows all had a 45 degree bend. I recently broke the last one, and I now need to order a new "batch" of them. Would this fit? If not, are there any on action village that will? My brother is ordering some stuff, and I'd like to have everything in one package.

Any 45* elbow will work. Just buy one though

Someone here might be coming out with some indestructible ones in a few months

Not the most beautiful setup in the world, but APP's atomic elbows and a couple hose clamps are light, cheap, and darn near indestructible. Kee's also got one branded through Extreme Rage that is marketed for rental fleet guns. Same deal, except the APP ones have got channels molded into the plastic to keep the hose clamps from sliding up or down once tightened.

Last time I was in a proshop, the one in the next town over, I hadn't gone paintballing in a while, and consequently didn't have in my mind the size of my powerfeed. I bought a few elbows just in case the ones I had started to fail. Upon arriving home, i found that they were too big around, and didn't match up with the feed neck correctly...

So the ones I linked will work, even though they aren't preferential regarding weight and durability?

I've used those ones that you linked to, the Extreme Rage. They look good and fit well, but durability was an issue. Snapped more of those than any others.

Problem was I had to tighten them so much to keep them from slipping that they stress cracked the plastic. A solution I found was to get some double sided hockey stick tape and wrap one wrap around your feedneck and a bit on your hopper feedneck. That kept them from slipping so much, so I didn't have to tighten the screws as much, so they lasted a bit longer then.

All that said, I second the APP Atomic elbows with hose clamps. I switched to those and they just work well.

Sounds good, they seem to be recommended often, so I suppose I'll have to get a few.

The ones linked to are very brittle. They break very easily when under load. Get the ones made from a more durable plastic. A lot of the cheaper looking ones made from a nylon looking plastic are actually much more durable.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

I so cannot wait until I can afford a centerfeed body. I've always despised feed necks. I hate how it off-centers the balance on my mag and sticks out like flag pole.

For now I've still got the old powerfeed though. I'm using a cheap plastic screw down one from actionvillage like you mentioned. It works fine. Seems pretty sturdy. I used to use the solid nylon with hose clamps and it worked great. It didn't break, I just lost it.

Python Paintball makes an aluminum one. It's pricey($40) but it's a nice gloss black color and you'll never need another.

I am still using my Armson elbow that I bought 10 years ago, made with an indestructible nylon/plastic material. By far the best and only elbow I would ever use.

I just picked a few up from ebay they were about $1.50 each.
Just do a query for 45 elbow under the paintball section.
