RT Sears- How much would you pay?

Right, I was a bit perplexed thisevening and I wanted to pass it by you.

I had been calling around some old shops I knew formerly carried AGD products from back in the day looking for an RT sear and axle for a mag I've been working on. After a few days I had one of the shops give me a call stating they'd found one.

I went up to pick it up and it had a pricetag of $70.00 on the side for JUST the sear. I know I can get them new with a sear from AGD for 37.00+6.00 shipping, which made me wonder about the justification of the 70 dollar tag. The retailer said something about he thinks it may have had carbide tips, and the bushing in the hole looks different than the pictures I've seen of RT sears, and certainly is not the same as my emag sear.

Is this a better quality sear that is worth 70 bucks? Or should I just stay away because I'm getting hosed?

I have seen R/T sears with a carbide tip on the bolt end & with a roller bearing instead of a brass bushing
Cost still sounds a little high at 70 , did he have it on his shelf ? he's probley had it for a while , you would think he'd be glad to be rid of it & give ya a deal

He had to scrounge a few days for it, it was not "on the shelf" as much as dusted off from the back room. It did look like a roller bearing to me, but when I said "Seriously? I can get one of these from AGD for $30+6 for shipping" he diddn't come back with anything but a shrug. Maybe I can reapproach him later in the week.

Yeah my classic RT sear has carbide on the bolt contact surface and a little carbide dot on the on/off pin contact surface. And a roller bearing. Idk if AGD still sells them like that and if so for how much.

We stopped adding carbide in the first batch because they tended to fracture. It has collectible value but that's it.

              Thanks Tom!

While interesting I just need a functioning piece for shorter money than that.
