    BT/Empire making the Trracer?

Last I heard some Canadian guy owned the rights to the Maverick/Trracer and was producing them under that name, now I'm seeing a 2011 "BT - Empire Trracer" in my catalogs. Anyone have anymore info here? It looks significantly less classic than the recent Tippmann SL throwback.

I saw one today in the Valken Distributor catalog. Not at all like the classic version. It is very Milsim. They should have gone the route CCI pumps are going. Very clean, smooth and simple.
    Thanks,
    Jeremy

Much agreed. Surprised that you saw it in a Valken catalog... Was it under the BT/Empire name, or do they have a plastic-y clone like with the SW1/98 and the Proton/Synergy? Either way I'm excited to see it in person; it'll be nice to have a <$150 pump on the market that's Nelson-based.

I was at my local shop and the owner showed it to me. It may have been a Kee catalog but either way it was listed under BT.
        Thanks,
        Jeremy

Empire is making it yes. Apparently it'll actually have some pretty neat options like rail mounts and whatnot. Even for the pump arm.

The traccers of yesteryear were PMI. Kee was PMI at some point (or now owns someone who was, anyway) and still has the right to produce them.

I'm interested to see one of these. It's a damn shame that Kee is holding with that feedneck though. Whats the point of an offset feedneck if you can't easily sight over the top of the barrel without raised sights?

That would make sense, if it were usable. Every field report I've seen says the pump handle gets in the way.

Very good gun, especially at the price point. Having a modular pump gun that can take any accessory mountable to standard rail systems, with Cocker threading, it's unreal. This gun basically makes the new-run SL-68II a poor choice, and it's cheaper to boot. It even feels more substantial than other Nelson based guns I've shot over the years.

Absurd setup just to show how it would look with a 68/4500 tank and a Prophecy

My "regular" setup on the gun is the duckbill ASA bottom line set, 12oz CO2, Sport Shot hopper, Freak barrel, and the big red dot sight.
