I would definitely want one...oddly enough my dreams for the past two nights revolved around this and another marker...one that uses a board to adust the lpr and hpr by means of small motors or solenoids. The grip frame opened up (screwless) to a clam shell touch screen where you could adjust velocity, listen to music, etc. Crazyness.

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

That's just my thought... and could very well be wrong.

        Exactally right.

When the mq is triggered a electro-magnetic plunger (light blue moving part in the bottom tube) moves towards the rear of the marker unbalancing the MQ valve (white moving piece, center of the bottom tube) allowing air to escape through the front and up the air tube to the bolt. A spring then returns the valve to its closed position when the magnet is turned off.

Do any paintball markers use this type of valve? It's very cool. I love that you can use the same valve to do either closed bolt or open bolt operation, though this second animation doesn't really explain how the cocking mechanism is operated. Either a second air pressure cycle or a pump I'm guessing.

thats becuase the MQ valve was made for a cocker, hence the front ram pumping the bolt.

no one else has really used it. its a beautiful system, and i can think of several ways of using the same idea but pnumatics to acomplish the same thing. i also liken the system to the ULT system the way you can cheat pressures with it ...
