    Need some ideas for anodizing

I need some input from you guys. I have a EMag with a 2K9 PTP body. The whole gun is black. I currently have some black/blue carbon fiber grips, and I use a black Sly Annex MIL-39 barrel. I want to get a cool anno done on the gun, and would like something that will go with the 'carbon fiber' look. Anyone have any ideas?

Have you seen a gun like that? Know where I can see some pics or a sample?

That just might work. Now, I just have to find someone to do the anno...

why not have it hydro dipped and go for the actual carbon fiber look you want.

I remember some people getting the Hydro dip done, but never saw any follow up posts regarding durability. Anyone know how that stuff holds up?

So far it holds up great....we actually have a few parts getting that done right now.

This C/F grip was done along with these grips

Yeah I am torn between Hydro dipping or laser engraving myself.

Those look pretty new and shiny. Anyone actually hit the field with them? I realize even ano will get scratched if rubbed up against some rocks, but seems like this stuff would be more susceptable to damage. Isn't it essentially like a decal transfer in a model kit?

My main concern with hydro dipping is messing with the tolerances. I have a fear that if I were to do this to my PTP 2k9 body/parts, they won't go back together well. Especially the breech block and body. Now, if they are able to mask sections of the parts, then hydro dipping might work.

Yes you definitely have to mask parts....it can be done.

The finish is not as durable as anno...but i thinks its pretty good...they are finished with clearcoat.

im gonna shoot those grips and see what happens.......let me see if i can get my buddy to hold them

its actually suppose to stand up very well. On McB there is a complete write up and quite a few reviews. And yeah you would be able to mask any part or area that needed. Usually any threads or screw holes are done right away.
