    Classic Valve and 220FPS

I've pretty much given up on playing but every once in a while I'll pull out my classic mag to play some rec ball. A few ladies I know are going to play at an indoor field because they get in for free but everything about this place sucks. Besides being overpriced, their chrono limit is 220 FPS. Anyone have any experience shooting a classic valve that low? I planned on letting a couple friends shoot my DM's so hopefully they'll also do fine at such a low velocity.

Find a really short barrel. I've played some shooting 250fps and used a cut down 7" stock barrel and did just fine. Not too sure about 220fps tho......

Yeah, what irks me the most is I probably won't be able to use my beloved 16" SS Boomstick.

maybe a lvl10 red or silver spring would do the trick?

          Must be from new england-

220fps is standard reball speed, trust me when I say it's likely plenty. Mag's have a problem shooting this low, sometimes a field operator will let you up your fps to minimum firing speed, just ask nicely.

Not reball, just "urban combat" catering to n00bs.

I wonder if it would be possible to just gut the AIR and use an external regulator to bring the pressure down further, as well as lighter main spring.

              Definitely not on the A-Team.

I can get my automag pretty close to 220 so I'm not sure you have to change regs at all. Btw- if it is reball your powerfeed won't work if you have one.

A level 10 wont fire with those springs that low. I couldn't get it to fire less the 275 with the red spring. it would just stick.

                    since it's a classic and it wasn't mentioned, I'm assuming that he's using a level 7.
try some level 10 springs on it.

I had mine shooting beautifully last weekend at -240 fps and it shot no problem all day. Level 7 on a classic valve.

I've got a Level 10 in it. I really have no idea what kind of parts I have left. I stopped playing a few years ago and my brother has slowly lost/destroyed most of the gear we have left. Back when I had over a dozen mags I had parts for everything.
