    thoughts of 2011 Proto Rail?

I am thinking of buying a 2011 rail. I like the price. I was wondering if anyone owns one or tested one? Input please.

Because i just got back from a paintball shop and all they did was talk trash about the Proto Rail 2011. I am finding it hard to believe them considering i had a 2008 PMR and i loved it.

    Thanks team

the shop guys only say that cause the base rail is capped at like 17-18bps and you cant change the board. If your one of those players that needs to shoot 25+bps, then get thre reflex model instead. Just rember: more bps = more $$$ out the barrel per second.

On top of what you said, they said they sold many of them to customers but they kept breaking down and they are made extremely cheap.

They also trash talked the new crossfire tanks with rebuildable reg.

imho i would stay away from DYE Precision, i used to own a DM4 and an Evil Minion 2007 (Private Label Proto M7)

Basically the excessive comlpexity of o-rings required to seal up their FUSE Bolt assembly made it a nightmare for me.

Shooting them, when they worked, as a lot of fun; nice and quiet, spool valves also became more compact as technology progressed, like how the DM4 is a huge brick compared to the 2011 Proto Rail you are looking at

But ultimately the newer markers are not made in USA, they are mass-produced in Taiwan.

DYE is a Taiwan company, not surprised they are made there.
