automag thread sealer

Does anybody know what the red thread sealer on the stainless steel air hoses on an original mag is?

Pretty sure its just some sort of loctite. Blue loctite works fine for sealing if that's what you're looking to do.

loctite recommends 545 which is purple and good up to 10,000psi. I was looking for what AGD uses for some mags I'm restoring to original condition. I think the red just looks right on a mag.

I think its the PTFE in stick form...
