Hydro Testing?

What is it? How often do you have to have it done? Where do you get it done? How much does it cost? Thanks!

Hydro testing of an air bottle is to certify its physical condition. It has to be done every three years and your tank should be marked with when the last test was done. It generally costs less than $50.00 and lots of places do it. Ask your local scuba shop or paintball store.

Your local fire extinguisher service center should be able to hydrotest for you. Unless you have a Luxfer or a steel tank..which need a hydro every 5 yrs..your fiber tank needs to be tested every 3 yrs. The tank will have a date on it..just add 3 or 5 yrs depending on which you have.
My shop only charges $20...I have heard of some cheaper and some higher...just depends on who you ask!
