Must be like those pictures you have to stare at to see the picture within a picture. I beleive you obviously, but that top shot just doesnt look like it has the 'jagged' edges to it on the ends like the side view pics.....well or I'm just retarded. Which is the most likely problem in this case. Time to shake the couch cushions again...

            "Dog bone milling"

i do like the rounded front end of lukes better as it flows better with most foregrips. Also the Z lock being left intact is not a bad idea

            nice work as always luke

Just got it back from Luke's. Current set up with an aluminum frame and no fittings is @ 1.544lbs:

I'm sure some ounces could be shaved by cutting the body and using a CF frame.

So did you find the design to be close to what you wanted?

I did. There are a couple of tweaks possibly here and there, but overall, it is what I was looking for. Thanks

nice looking setup, nice to know mine will likely beat the 1.5lb benchmark though

I could get it less than 1.5lb, if I switched out to a CF frame and cut the body, which i may still do. I am intending on getting everything anodized so I am going with the aluminum frame. The rear of the rail could easily be cut down some and keep the z pin slot if you were willing to go asymmetrical. Consider the weight I gave also included the barrel and insert. The only thing it's missing to be functional is an on/off and fittings.

Very nice. It is the same weight as mine but it looks way stronger.

I havent tried cranking it around or anything, but it seems pretty strong. I wouldn't go falling on the front grip or anything, but seems like it will hold up.

That Venom grip looks perfect on there.
