Favaorite drop / on off setup?

Hi all,

I still have a duckbill and want a drop / on off setup. After playing with it this weekend, I'm not liking the firing postion. Can you tell me your favorite setup and why you like it?

It depends on your playing style and ... What you are playing? Speedball or woodsball/rec ball. Your marker setup and tank size. Your body size, especially height and arm length. It's really personal preference. I suggest getting a drop, trying it at the field and see what you think.

I've got an Endo cradle on the way, looks a bit odd, but makes for a tight setup

New Designz dropkick, with a New Designz quik-flip on-off. Dropkicks aren't made anymore, but can be found online. Quik-flip on-off can be found on most online sites, as well.

that is a cool on / off. My centerflag had that in the reg essentailly. when you degass, is it incredibly loud?

New Designz dropkick, with a New Designz quik-flip on-off. Dropkicks aren't made anymore, but can be found online. Quik-flip on-off can be found on most online sites, as well.

I like the NDZ Drop Kick as well. I have one on my mag with a Y Frame and it is a pretty tight, compact set up. Other than that I use a CP razor or micro razor depending on the size of the tank for my other mags.

It's actually really quiet. And it's also incredibly soft. There's almost no force required to turn it on/off.

Unfortunately, isn't that rail non-standard? So you have to use the drop it comes with...

I've been a fan of CCM's on/off, sometimes its not quite grippy enough especially with sweaty fingers. I would really like to try a BL Geardrive one day, but those things are hella expensive. I'm mostly a fan of micro drops, nothing fancy really.

I did some research on this and you're right, it's a non standard rail. Also, there really isn't a way to drill a second port for a pneu.

I'm now looking for a dangerous power RAPS II which already has the second port drilled for you, and uses a simple lever to gas / degas the gun:

It's not that big of a drop, 1/4 to 1/2 an inch at most.

I used to use drop forwards on almost all of my markers. Classic case of t-rex arms syndrome.
Swapped my 68ci tank out for a 50 and ended up removing and selling ALL of my drop forwards.
I have used the NDZ dropkick though. On a 45* frame, I found that it put my wrist in an uncomfortable position whenever I actually gripped the frame. I think it would work better on a 90* or Y/Z-frame but it's all a matter of personal preference.

As for asa's, mostly CP and NDZ although I've been warming up to Bob Long's Gear Drive asa. Very easy to use, built in macro fitting, nice milling. A bit expensive
