Good idea. I'm assembling both december polls right now and I'll work on the extra MOTY poll as well.

EDIT: I just realized that I'll only be able to do it on January, 10th, when we have the december winners. But I'll put it in my agenda to remember it.

As we have some extra time, what do you guys think? A single MOTY winner mixing all the 24 Open and Classic Mags or two MOTY, one for each category?

mite be better to do a classic section and an open one. it would be almost impossible foe me to pick from 24 of them all being really hot mags.

But either way it will be fun.

X7OG has also gone to a format of "Milsim" marker of the month (year), and a "Tourney" marker of the month (year). Similar to AO's Classic/Open classes. Here's the link to the tourney poll: http://www.x7og.net/photo-video-gall...ar-2011-a.html

It's markedly different from AO's contests, though, because any marker can enter, not just an X7 or other Tippmann. Many of the "tourney" markers are stock, too. Nothing much custom except an ano or paint job. The focus is on the quality of the photo as much as the marker itself. And markers that have a lot of work put into them can lose to a marker that has a nice paint job and a few aftermarket parts bolted on, showing the forum's overall bias toward certain looks (and that's just anticipated and accepted, no griping).

See, I didn't get an account here until 2010. But I think the MOTY should be brought back. It's all in good fun. Maybe in 2018 we can start a Marker of the Decade 2008-2018 contest.
