    Emag LED colors?

I remember seeing somewhere a list of different colored LED modules, or a way to change the color of the stock module for the Emag LED. Now, for the life of me I can't find it or remember where I saw it. I'm specifically looking for blue, but a point in the direction to where they are available would be great, thanks guys!

    HCMS-2912 for Red
    HCMS-2911 for Yellow
    HCMS-2913 for Green
    HCMS-2914 for Orange

    IIRC, the blue is obsolete.

Digi-Key, Newark, and Mouser all sell them and accept hobbyist orders.

I checked and the HCMS-2919 was the Blue LED and Avago did discontinue them.

Of course, Red is stock. I know you can order Green one at a time. I think Yellow and Orange have minimum quantity orders (from Digi-key, anyway).

Nuts, blue was what I was really hoping for. I think green will do the trick though. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction guys!

Might have to pic up a green one myself.

I think I read somewhere that all you need to do to install the new LED unit is trim down the contacts so that it will fit within the grips. You guys hear otherwise, or have experience in doing it? Could I just just nail clippers to trim them?

You can trim the leads with wire cutters.

Yeah, smaller wire snips work best. Just eyeball it to your current led module. Be careful taking the old one out. They're in there tough. I pulled mine out and it rolled, sticking the contacts well into my index fingertip. Ouch!

That was fast! The new LED display came in today, rather unexpectedly. Did a quick little trim job on the leads with a pair of finger nail clippers and managed to guess correctly as to which side was right side up. The green looks sweet!
