Your Favorite Tac' Vest and Why?

Hey guys. I'm looking into buying a tactical vest for LL5 and other scenario games I might find myself at. I can't find many reviews on any of them. That's where you come in. I know we have a few scenario players here and you always have opinions about stuff.

I know I want one that has a pocket specifically to hold a hydration bladder, it has to have good lower back support like most of the current pod packs and it has to be made from a nice, breathable material. Those are really my only requirements.

Mike@techpb did a review of the Dye vest, but it doesn't look like it has the back support that I'm looking for. Everything else on it looks great, though. So, let me know which tac' vests you've tried out and what you like or dislike about them.

    Thanks,
    Ben

I gotta Valken V-Tac Echo. I'm comfy, good back support, and has the hydration pack. Love it.

I'd ask on Milsim Nation or the A5OG forum, loads more serious milsim players on those forums. Probably get loads of suggestions and links to reviews.

I too have one of these it is the best I have ever owned, 3 people on my team tried it out and ended up buying them. They are very comfortable, do well in the heat, clean easily, and hold a ton of paint if needed.

Thanks for the input. I was looking at the Valken vests. I like that they kind of build the vests onto your standard everyday pod pack belt. I was actually looking at the Tango, yesterday. I like that the entire thing is covered in Molle, so you can pretty much configure it any way you want it. However, the Echo would probably also work very well for me.

Thanks again. I'll probably post over on Milsim Nation. Thanks for that suggestion.

I Also have the Echo and I am very pleased with it. After trying mine out, three of my teammates have bought them.
There is just enough room for the stuff I need. I put a radio pouch on the shoulder strap and a small misc pouch on the front to hold an allen wrench (for turning the marker on/off) and some paper towel/cleaner to deal with lens spray. And it does hold a ton of paint.

SpecOps Operative V2. Love the thing. Molle so I can place anything anywhere I want, and it's just so damn comfy.

I think the elephant in the room here is the Ultraback from Flurry Industries. http://flurryindustries.com/
Add-on the hydration bladder and you are set. Plenty of reviews to search through. I have one of these and they are top quality.

I was also looking at Flurry, mainly because they are local to us. The one thing I don't like about them is the lack of molle. Velcro is cool, but with molle, I can mix and match modules from different companies if I want to. I like to have options.
