Unless there is a second red VER, it is in my possession.

Hmm. Just tried swapping feednecks and the Mini does appear to be Angel threaded just like the ULE body. You could take the stock stovepipe feeneck tube from the MM2k9 and screw it onto the Mini.... Not sure how you would actually mount the warp.

Maybe have things wired so that the warp advances whenever the eyes don't see a paintball in the breech (new feature for the new Warp boards being thought about?)

Don't get me wrong, I love my two warped E-Mags with L10, but something lightweight for scenarios would be nice. I have a remote-air, warp setup that nearly balances the gun perfectly side-to-side, but being an E-Mag it is still a beast. I won't even talk about my standard on-gun air warped E-Mag!

                  Something light weight you ask?

I think I could make this in an electro with warp body under 1.5 pounds, and I think I could get eyes to work with a warp body. Its curent weight is 1 lb and 6 oz I think I could make it EP for an additional 2 ounces

^^^Yes that reads 1 pound and 6 ounces.^^^ 1.4lbs and still getting lighter

But with the way eyes are built into most modern markers there is no way to make them warp capable without removing the eyes and having a body custom made for the maker you want warped.

It is my understanding that Mini's have Ion threaded feednecks. I put a CCM Ion-threaded feedneck on my mini and it fit perfectly.

Angel and Ion threads are extremely close though with the angel being metric and the SP/Ion being standard.

I'd give up the extra few ounces though for a double trigger and bolt on ability of the VER.

If the money is not the issue I would agree.

To the OP, if your mags are to heavy, then make them lighter Those Emags have over half there weight to shed.

We are already seeing massive price drops on E/X Mags and other parts. In general, yes Mags definitely hold their value batter, but wondering for how long.
Hmm...Everything in paintball is down but it's not always going to be that way so buy it up while it's cheap

Do modern day electro companies make blanks of their bodies for people to mess around with?

I guess we'll have to see. I realize part of the drop is due to the economy etc, but also people do lose interest over time once things start to get stale. With PTP borderline burning people, Logic or whoever it was and the EP frame debacle, XM15 about dropping off the face of the earth, VD being VD, people are going to get sick of it and move on. It's just my opinion, but its how I feel. That, and the fact that the markers are getting old, the boards are starting to burn out and there are less and less people able to work on them, makes it tougher to gain support for them.

I'm still a fanboy to a certain extent, but my faith is fading a bit lately.

Hill, I would agree, if someone cannot afford a VER frame, your method is a possibility. However, the mod you did isnt for the everyday tinkerer and you have to admit is limited to a degree. When people think of a "modern electro", they don't typically think of a home modded single trigger framed marker. I would say if cost is a factor that an Ego framed Mag may be a cheaper option, but even then I have no real idea of what a modded frame costs.

Also, how exactly would you lighten an E-Mag? IMO, one of the biggest weight obtacles is the 16battery battery pack mounted on the front of the marker.

After lugging mags around for 15+ years, I do have biceps, thank you very much

It's the principle I guess, the best tool for the job. I hate to know that there is something "lighter and with eyes" out there than my mags. This thread has shown me that does not have to be the case, I just have to be willing to fork over the cash for it. I might at some point.

So how would you go about putting eyes on a warp body? Having someone (Luke?) drill out holes for it? How would you cover it up? Does someone have pictures? The eyes would then plug into the VER's universal board then?

Once you have eyes, would it make sense to go back to a Lvl7 bolt, for efficiency? Or would you leave it for extra insurance?

Those partial carbon fiber bodies you guys have, who makes those and how much? I remember seeing them on here before, but the search function is giving me the fits. EDIT: NVM found it. Nice!
