    XM15 VS RainMan pump kits?

Does anyone out there have both and can comment on which is better and why? I have an XM15 kit and it seems ok, but wondering if there is any real benefit of getting a Rainman one?

That's because he subscribes to the accuracy by volume theory like most of his friends!

        Not the tactical approach.

I have never used an XM15 pump kit but I have a Cerberus Kit and a Rainman v1 kit. I see no real benefit to one vs the other. Both seem to do the job fine.

Am I right in thinking that the pump handle on the Rainman kit is aluminum?

And like the CCM kits, rainman uses an aluminum back plate. Besides mounting the rod, it serves as a running surface for the main guide and the second guide, and as a end stop.

I definitely like second guides on cocker style pumps, but I'm sure on mags. Since the pump rod is guided well, a sturdy connection to the handle should be all you need while eliminating all of the three-point binding. I haven't played with single guided ones enough to dump my own second guide from my pump setup, but I have thought about it.

For sure though, the rainman kit can take some abuse. I expect the others would too, since they are simpler and pretty beefy.

                          Was that from twisting?

With the stainless bodies, you could use the body as a guide.

But can you get your finger between a minimag hole and pump handle?

The XM15 pump is shaped to fit under the Minimag body

Don't get any binding or twist on that, but I'll have to try it with regular mag body to compare
