my rc car/paintball project, AO comunity

i have a project im working on.
    its an rc automag.
unlike many other RC car paintball cars i have seen, this one wont just be a PB marker straped to a car and fired with a servo.

i have all the details worked out. to the best of my knowledege.
any and all help will be apreciated.
if i get enough helpfull critisism, i will have new chasis plates made for the comunity,
this is using all AGD automag marker parts, and rc parts,

and anyone who know rc, i am using a 1/5th scale HPI savage platform.

i have pictures up on WED

any idea till then shoot them to me,

    thankyou,
    KNM.

    saved for pics and specs

this motor wont mean alot to many, but when it gets installed and has the propper batteries applied to it we will be able to run this truck at speeds of 75 MPH easy. no reason to go that fast but who knows, someone down the road will say, "how fast does that go?". and then i can show them.

CADs as they get better and refined
**none of these pics as of now are calculated or to spec yet. i just need the picture on my computer and in my head to reference from when i lay down the functioning part.

this one is the top where the rail and body will sit.

this is the underneath of the same picture, the groove is for ball bearings to sit in and will coinside with the plate this part will sit inside of.

working on drawings to send you,
very simple setup for the turret, just three peices, with my current calculations.

pics up tommorow, not much to see, but still gives people a platform to look at.

so some pics are up. now all i have to do is sit down and draw/draft out the turret parts to send to out to a guy who knows cad

i have all the parts picked and waiting for me at the RC shop here, at Krazy Kevin's, but i will not buy the rest of my rc parts to complete this project untill i get the aluminum parts milled.

                so thats where I stand.

                Thanks,
                KNM

asking questions in my thread to contain them for future reference.
                  question post,

how small can you buy balls for bearings?
what oil would you recomend to put into the ball's track?

looking good just have to figure out how to take shapes away from other shape(extrude?)

i use AUTODESK 2010, it has tons of other stuff i can use in it also.

problem is this program is on a computer that is on its last leg. i have no idea how to install it onto another computer, since i cant find the setup file,

Id imagine you can use bike grease (pretty thick consistancy, but it lasts forever and quite smooth) for a turret, also headsets for bikes have bearings and grease in them for cheap if you wanna look into those for creating the turret.

You can go pretty small with bearings, but too small and they wont last very long, and might not be as smooth (the rotation that is).

i was thinking half the size of a frozen pea, if i go the route of the balls in a groove idea, gota talk to my other brains helping with this,

i have come to find out it is only going to be two peice turret design, (excluding of course the rail, body, valve, and barrel)

ill show all pictures that i make, but ill need to ask permission to show anything anyone else makes for me.

i know how tight most are with their cad drawings.

im taking some architectural design courses this symester, maybe that will help my brain open up with some ideas and method on cad.

Sounds good as far as the bearings go, for 15-20 you can get a headset which will have 2 sets of bearings along with the cups (grooves) and grease that you can likely modify easily for turrets. Just an idea, and it will be a lot cheaper than fabrication.

what do you guys think of me adding a teflon or ceramic coating to the parts?
so that they pivot inside each other well/

anyone with experience with this stuff please chime in.

                            thankyou,

saving some cash is always good.
if i could get a video of how my thoughts are playing out on this. i would be able to show everyone a little better.

if i knew cad better i could mock up a good look-alike cad of what i want and record a video of me moving the parts around on cad, so you could see my idea of function.

hope i can get the cad to click soon.
