AGD black teflon coating info needed

Ok, some questions about all the black mag bodys, which I've always heard called 'teflon' coated.

1. Was this coating actually teflon, or something else?

2. Was it done by AGD in house, or sent out?

3. Who still does this if you want to refinish one?
