Stupid Health Homework

the title sounds like I'm just complaining about homework, but hear me out, it's paintball related:
today, my friend comes up to me and says, "check out this bull" and hands me his health homework about, of all things, paintball! thats right, paintball! the sport that's safer than bowling. Anyway, I read it and it would be pretty funny, if it wasnt partly false, misleading, and stupid. ANyway, so when I get to health later that day. I tell the teacher that i'm an avid paintballer and that i read the article and it was misleading and false. She replies we'll talk about it tomorrow. SO, i gathered some injury statistics today and prepared for a debate tomorrow. Also, two of my other friends are doing the same thing to hopefully keep a future paintballer from being turned off to paintball from this article. Here is the article in question:

cant get anymore readable, i tried scanning it a few more times, sorry. ANyway, needless to say, it makes paintball sound like people get critically hurt all the time.

the rules of paintball are pretty much all common sense...and for those people who have none or very little that's where the ref's come in..i feel safe playing paintball, safer than say when i go mountainbiking

True, paintball is statistically asfer than bowling. It's sad to see some one from outside the paintball community denouncing a very safe sport. As a matter of fact, I'm also writing a paper to help disprove the stereotypical view of paintball as "unsafe".

I whole-heartedly agree with you, gather up as much info on safety as you can, some statistics if applicable, and let loose. Hopefully you can dissuade the health teacher from handing out garbage like this in the future.
