      actually it is not meant to last years. six months to one year depending on use is what the life of the sleeves are. The sleeves are a wear item. I do agree that the entire bolt itself should last many many years

        Why not just super glue the darn thing on. If it breaks, it won't matter, it will just get a crack in it. When its time to change it drop it in a glass of fingernail polish remover, or paint thinner overnight. It will ruin your foamie too, but big deal. Then you can cut it off with a razor knife like normal. Whenever I get around to buying a SB I'll probably do that. BTW, I normally would never use the word "darn" but with the spankings being administered lately, I wasn't sure if I should use the word that beavers make with an N on it.
