AGD C/F frame - Crossman stock mod

Well OPBN ask the question and I was the guinea pig

    http://automags.org/forums/showthrea...Will-this-work

First step was to check what was preventing the two from mating
as you can see they are close but material needs to be removed for the AGD frame to fit

i cut the back off the stock because it was in the way of the rear screw on the frame

as I refit and cleared away more material from the stock the frame became easier to insert

I wanted to maintain the channel the posts on the frame ride in, but on the crossman frames the geometry is slightly different.
I took a used cutting wheel and cut the channel straight back. I used the painters tape as a guide

i cleaned up the front and checked alignment again, and marked a spot for the new hole from stock to frame

using a hand file and sandpaper i cleaned up the back

Drilled and tapped the hole 10/32

    ...and BOOM!!!

One I did a while back a little differently. Fits on an emag frame.

very secure no wobble at all. you could even put mounting screws into the bottom of the frame as well

Glad to see. And not much modding to the frame really besides a hole. Easily convertible back to stock grip. Might have to go ahead and pick one up for giggles. Thanks for the nice right up and pics for those of us that are reading challenged. lol.

sorry, I meant time spent and misc cost.
                      22$ +.... ?
I was just looking to compare, I have 3 of these stock previously mod'd and done about 3 yrs back. didn't know they were that big of deal.
just comparing cost to a production stand point.
                      thankyou,

it took about 30-45 min, I made sure to use tools most people have: Dremel, cutting wheel, high speed cutter, 1/2" half round bastard file, sandpaper (220 then 500) and tape as a guide

if i did it again i could do it in 10 min, there wasn't much to it. the checking the fit as i went was the most time consuming
