Is there a way to enable boolean search (or whatever the correct term is) in the forums? For example searching sales threads for PTP AND Emag would return threads with only both PTP and Emag in it.

Kids these days. Way back when searching PTP wouldn't get you anything, since it wasn't enough letters.

You should be able to boolean search here on AO. We currently have issues with Vbulletin and the Advanced Search button, but I'm still under the assumption that you could search, "luke AND emag" and you could find any results with both search terms in the post.
If you are having issues with searching for three letter words such as "Tac" "AGD" "PTP" you can add an asterisk to it. Check out the AO Archive article I wrote about it located here.....
In the latest version of Vbulletin it made it difficult to search for 3 letter terms. The fix is to mess with a few database settings and I really don't want to corrupt automags.org database. :) An easy way to search for terms such as SFL, mag, PTP, etc. add an asterisk to the end of the term. Using the truncation operator For example searching the term "TAC*" It will retrieve entries for all posts containing the words: Tac One, Tac-One, TacOne. SFL* TAC* PTP*
