I may have an opportunity to travel to the Portland area and am interested in seeing if I can get a game in at some point. My google search listed Warpaint International as a field in Salem that offers both indoor and outdoor games. This seems like an interesting field but appears to be about 60 miles south west of the city. Before considering the hassle of flying my gear out or shipping it; does anyone have experience with this field? Positive/negative feedback? Are there any other indoor fields closer? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There used to be a paintball field in downtown Portland. It was indoor, and from what I remember poorly maintained.
If I recall correctly, I believe the last owner sold it around 6 or so years ago.
Here's a field that should be somewhat closer to you. It's just right over the bridge into Vancouver, WA.

Warpaint puts on great games, if you are in Portland the first weekend of May Supergame is a must go. It is only about a 30 min drive south of Portland. I will probably make the drive from Spokane to go there again this year. Here is a link. http://supergame.tv/formats.htmlOriginally posted by fstop_22 View PostI may have an opportunity to travel to the Portland area and am interested in seeing if I can get a game in at some point. Oh man you are heading to my old stopping grounds. I used to work at "Portland Paintball" which was the indoor field downtown. It smelled, was dirty, and kind of small with only the one field, but it was the only indoor field in a very rainy town. So it was kind of a supply and demand situation but eventually the owner got burned out and sold the building.Originally posted by fstop_22 View PostI may have an opportunity to travel to the Portland area and am interested in seeing if I can get a game in at some point.... The Xtremez Indoor field in Vancouver also closed a few years ago. I applied to work there as well, but got a better offer at Portland Paintball
.
So here are the remaining open fields close to Portland, OR:
30 minutes from Portland! Just two turns off of Interstate 205! Portland's Largest & Longest operating paintball park since 1986. 47 Acres of woods containing tree houses, foxholes, bunkers, villages, and more! We offer weekend paintball, summer camps, and unforgettable birthday party experiences! Come play a game of ZOMBIES or center flag with us!
Get ready for a day of exciting action-packed fun at Impact Action Sports! With paintball, laser tag or gellyball, we have something for all ages. Book now.
I have played tournaments at all these fields and I really can't speak to the rec play for any of those fields. If you don't want to play, but still want to get your paintball fix and buy some gear tax free then check out these stores:
Woodsball is alive and well in Portland, but that also means there are tons of backyard fields. If you talk with Larry at Rush Paintball then he could give you a heads up on any "Underground" games going on.
I really miss the NW and the paintball community up there. Hope you can find a place to play. Have fun.

Unfortunately, if I do come I will be missing the supergame by about a week. Not sure if I will be attending the seminar in that area yet. Still waiting to hear from my boss. Thanks for all the great leads and I'll let you know if I manage to make it.
