I feel bad about posting this pic, since it nowhere even comes close to doing the marker any sort of justice.

For those that want to know what it is, it was my Classic Over/Under Nasty Typhoon(COUNT for short)

Also it is this marker that I traded for my first Micro E-mag.
2003 SuperBowl Champions!, THE New England Patriots!

He was constantly reminded of how startlingly different a place the world was when viewed from a point only three feet to the left.

Is that one owned by someone you know, or is it just a picture from the 'net?

I'd give an arm, a leg, and the rights to my firstborn child for one of those...

Seriously though, anyone selling one? Come on, I know SOMEONE on AO has to have one...

Here's something nifty. I'm in the planning stages of a variant of this.

          2k2 VF Cocker, STO/Eclipse Blade, Old-Style 14" Boomstick,
68AutoMag Classic Feed CF11023, Ring trigger.

            Ooh!!!

I held the first G-10 Cocker at Hell Survivors last summer... without a tank and hopper, it was lighter than my Phantom VSC. No bull-puckey! It looks a lot better under direct sunlight, it's really a transluscent golden.

I was in Ken's shop when he started on the second one, the block of G-10 was on the mill, waiting to be bored. It smells bad when you machine it... The second one had a more greenish tint to it.

Imagine your big heavy cocker, but without the heavy part. They're SOOO light it totally changes the dynamics of maneuvering with one.
            Ken rules!

That Space-Mag is awesome, who built those???

Wyn- while I used to have a Bob Long product, and their service has been great in my experience, why the heck are you getting the second one instead of the Dragon??? (a better ? is why aren't you getting an Emag...)

fred- a few simple answers. costs less same performance, it'll be out way sooner than the dragons, and I love my timies. Nothing against the mag, I shot one for years, but the intimidator owns.

OK, I did a little research into this G-10 stuff, and as I suspected it is not Carbon Fiber, but rather a form of Fiber Glass. Carbon Fiber, as well as Kevlar (Amrid) are just that Fibers. They are woven into mats, and are both extremely strong, though most of their structural strength comes from the epoxies / resins used to fix them into thier final shape. As well as the process used to do this. Carbon fiber is always black, to grey in color, as it is CARBON strands, Kevlar, a Dupont product is actually plastic, and has a yellow to white color, though I have seen it dyed in other colors. Both of these can be interwoven in the mat to create products with differnt properties.

Because you dad said that he uses G-10 on his car doesn't mean it's carbon fiber. On race cars, they usually use fiberglass, not carbon fiber.

Indeed, G10 is fiberglass. I think I remember looking over a parts list, when making a race car that had some random pieces made of G10.

                        Yes and no;
The rigidness comes from the epoxy. Strength comes from the fiber strands.
Only for some applications does kevlar get epoxied.

Carbon fiber is not always black, it is actually more of a deep gray color for most applications, but we even make different colors of carbon fiber now. (only cosmetic, doesn't do anything)
Doesn't add to the strength, and personally I like the gray color most (I'm less flash, more gas).
