    ULT and valve compatibility

I remember some discussion, way back in the day, concerning ULTs and valve compatibility. I know classic valves are not compatible, shoot down, however I was under the impression certain types of retro valves couldn't except an ULT. Any truth to that?

Yes. Some of the early Emag/ReTro valves need to be milled out for it. Xvalves are fully compatible.

Can one go by serial numbers (roughly) in order to single out whether an RT valve will be ULT-compatible without milling or not?

best bet is to look in the on/off hole. if it is using 1 oring at the top it can not use ult.

if it is milled for 2 orings your good to go.

I've had 2 retrovalves milled for it, works great (if done right)!
