Anybody feel like machining or 3D printing some of these for those of use that are rocking the old CF and pot metal single trigger frames. There aren't a lot of options out there. Anyone else interested in this?

The 1911 panels seem to be mostly duel screw. What I'm looking for are the single screw type. KNM, let me know when you are up and running, I'll buy at least a pair or three.

I'm interested. Love the feel of a classic CF frame but want more grip options.

They are called ".45 frames" for a reason--because they use 1911 pattern grip panels. The single-screw panels you're talking about were commonly used on Sheridan framed guns like the P-68, PGP, etc. and then expanded to Automag frames, early autococker frames, and so on. This was one of the dominant frame styles in the late 80s/early 90s and can still be found on some AGD and Palmer markers.
Other popular grip options at the time were the CCI Phantom, which used the AR grip mounting system (later, ironically with a 1911 style adapter).
So yes, it would be great to have more Sheridan grip options but a ".45 frame" will always be a two-screw 1911 style frame, and there is no such thing as a one-screw .45 frame.
*edit*
The reason the Sheridan frame feels better to a lot of people is that it was designed as a paintball frame with nothing inside the grip, where the 1911/45 frame has to be wider to house a magazine.
If you are buying vintage grips for a Sheridan frame be aware of clearance issues--many of these may be designed for a backbottle setup or predate CA altogether (the standard two screw 10-32 bottomline thread was usually an aftermarket addition) and may require modification for a bottomline ASA mount.Last edited by paint magnet; 03-12-2016, 10:17 AM.
