I have a prototype one already, but I want a second black CF-reinforced one just to have a backup.

I love this thing, and I would be quite sad if the only one I have gets broken in a moment of my own clumsiness or something.

ill put a thread up in dealer section soon.

so all the buyer will need is a ULE body of course
                  and a CCI tube.

Any reason why this wouldn't work on a steel body? (after removal of the feed, and maybe drilling a new vertical feed hole) Not that i'd personally want to, but others might want to lol

this specific design was modeled around the ULE body.

any tinkerer can do whatever. but I will say I did not test it.
and you may run into some other issues.
but no I have not tested on steel bodies.

When this was first talked about, the square-ish shaping on the ULE body are what held the feed in place.

And I'm interested in 1-2 of the black ones.

yes and no, but that was along time ago.

at least on the version I have (which may be an older design, I can't quite tell), the chamfers where the detent holes are on a ULE body are what keep the snap-on from sliding forward and back on the body. The little arms that allow it to snap on are what hold it in place, and the fact that they wrap all the way around to where the body and rail meet prevents it from sliding left/right.

The problem with using it with a steel body would be the position of the feed hole not just on the body but also on the barrel (I guess this could be addressed with a center feed twist lock barrel, but I understand those to be pretty rare nowadays). I'm also not sure if steep bodies and ULE bodies have the same OD, seems to me that would need to be checked.

                            on a side note

On my phantom I have goven up on the cci feedtube. I found the 10 rd tubes fit perfectly & snuggly into the feedblock and stay. Would that happen here as well?
