having the pin hanging out there like that is driving me nuts, but other than that, I actually really like this body.
I kind of wish the front scooped up from the battery pack to the top of the body, but that's just a slight aesthetic preference.

More to the topic, Monkey Butt Customs was playing around with splashes and smears before they stepped out. If they did it, that doesn't help for the moment, but they may get back in the game at some point.

I wouldnt blame this on Larry, the valve isnt bad but the marker is not good.

And the "rail" section doesnt appear to be long enough for the Z-lock to be of any use anyway....

When you reanodize a valve it changes the location of the pin, but the body isn't designed to accommodate the pin anyway.

Because when you strip the old anodizing it removes some of the surface, and in this case it's two mating surfaces.

As Luke mentioned, the small amount of metal removed during the anno stripping of the original color would cause the rear section to rotate a bit farther before coming up tight. If you put the valve into another gun with a z-lock groove, it could easily be rotated back to fit, with hardly any noticable gap between the valve halves.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
