AO party tonight.....My IRC has a virus....

Do I need IRC to compete in the contest? Webmaster booted me last time cause I have a virus which keeps sending people love letter.

i belive webby has the java chat here on the site directed to the new server....

also is it a scrpit in mirc or an actual virus... if it is a virus go grab one of the free virus scanners... if it is a scrpit just get rid of it... or redownload mirc but just install and setup into a different directory.......

Im reformating either tomorrow or Monday and installing XP.

But I wouldnt know how to find the script....Ill just reintall irc i think and see what happens.

YOu def. have a werm. It is an on-join werm that sends to people without your consent. It is the "loveletter" virus. Go to www.download.com and get a fix its simple.

get on and when you send it check what it is called EXACTLY

delete that file from your computer and everrything else

it will work

That won't work. It's a werm I garuntee it replicated itself 5 times all over with most liekly different names. The file controlling the sending isn't file he was originally infected with.

You have the Plan Columbia virus. Load up internet explorer, does it go to a page that can't be found hosted by fortunecity.com? That .vbs is a *****.

Go in C:\ and search for files called "linux". Look in the script and it should say stuff about dedicating this virus to all the hackers and crackers and they dedicate a song called "goodbye" by somebody.

Download a viruscan, that helps too.

Yeah I'm almost positive. Theres been multiple computers around with the .vbs converting thingie and it's all been the same.

Alot of worms convert files to .vbs. Anyway wish ya luck my fellow.
