It's been tested with rainman's older pump kit on a rail milled with that reference and on a rail that Luke milled to spec (and which it is currently using).
rainman did not machine to agd spec.

      I know. But Luke did.
And that's one of the earlier rainman kits which does seem to be close enough (and works much smoother than AGD original I got).

I've used this fixture on my knee mill and cnc.

That's clever. It holds the rail at an angle for the channel cut, right?

So which route did you go, angle vise of fixture?

I haven't gotten around to it yet, sadly. Hopefully this will happen in the next week or so. But I don't have an angle vise, so I'm probably gonna try the fixture.

Here's how I set up to machine my fixture.

                    Tram your vise.
Square your material in your vise with machinist square.
                    Set the proper angle.
                    Machine top of material.
Drill and tap your holes to AGD rail spec.
                    Machine the rail bushing hole.

*I drill and tap my holes on the fixture with my work offset coordinates in mind (XYZ-Zero) so I can setup the job off the fixture instead of off the rail being machined.
