Cant take apart classic valve... help?

Hello,

I have a gen 1 Micromag that I purchased in 94' - The whole time I've had it I've never been able to separate the 2 halves of the valve body. I'd really like to get it apart and replace the regulator seat etc.. to bring it back to its full potential.

Any tips or tricks to getting it apart?

If not, anyone I could pay to get it apart for me undamaged?


I've tried strap wrenches on both sides of the valve and just cant get it apart.
I'd really like to keep the valve and keep it nice as its pretty Early - GFX000151

use a vise with softwood blocks on one half and strap wrench on the other. Dont use the cheap rubber strap wrench Get a Rigid or other name brand. If you cant get it apart then send it here.

Thanks for the tips Tuna - I'll see if I can get access to a vice.
